FARM TO FEAST WEEK

August 7th through August 13th 2011

3 courses for 35 dollars
featuring local fish, meat and veggies

1st course
a chilled soup of local garden veggies and
crenshaw melon done gazpacho style
or
local suffolk baby lettuces tossed in a buttermilk
mustard vinaigrette with local crenshaw melon

2nd course
local caught jumbo flounder on a corn, vidalia and my
just picked tomato pan roast with ghost eggplant
or
grilled pork belly and my sausage on a mixed baby potato, yellow        squash  and tomato pan roast with my stove steak sauce

3rd course
chocolate bittersweet blue berry tart with a semi sweet
ganache and sided with a sweet chocolate sauce
or
a fresh peach chess pie with whiskey whipped crème
and a white chocolate sea salt cured lemon sauce


for 15 dollars we pare wine per course
 

MY FARMS ARE CLARKE FARM IN CHESAPEAKE– I GET MY VEGGIES HERE, I GET MY PORK FROM DARDEN FARM & GENERAL STORE OUTSIDE OF SMITHFIELD, CAROMONT FARM IN ESMONT VIRGINIA IS OWNED BY GAIL & DANIEL, BOTH WORKED WITH ME AT THE DUMBWAITER YEARS AGO, SHE MAKES CRAZY GOOD GOAT CHEESE, AND DAVE AND DEE’S MUSHROOMS IN SEDLEY PLUS SCOTT FARM-SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, GRIFFIN FARM-ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, BLANTON GARDEN,  AND  DODD'S FARM-HANOVER COUNTY AND OF COURSE MY BIG GARDEN ACROSS THE STREET FROM STOVE, I GROW TOMATOES, HERBS SQUASH, PEPPERS AND SO ON SO AS U CAN C WE ARE GETTING SOME GOOD STUFF ALL OVER VIRGINIA AND U SHOULD 2.
